CAN Records Broken at Ontario Masters Mini Meet

M45 Don Ritchie won the OMA Indoor Pentathlon Championships held during the meet. Don scored 3256 points – beating his own CAN Record by 100 points. Since Don turns 50, that was his last M45 Indoor Pent – a nice way to finish!

The OMA hosted a 4 X 800m Relay at the end of the meet. The event is very rarely contested – so the CAN Records were there for the taking !

The M60 Newmarket Huskies team was lead by Bob Knuckey

John De Finney ran the second leg

Tim Payne ran the third leg

Ken Hamilton ran a fine anchor leg

M60 Newmarket Huskies finished in 10:59.89 – a new CAN Record

John Willet ran the lead leg for the M35 University of Toronto Track Team

Mike Mendis ran a fine second leg.
Mike was running in his first track race!

Ming Tsai ran the third leg

Gary Plium took it home in the anchor leg

The M35 UTTC team finished in 9:42.93
the new CAN Record

The OMA held a Mile Racewalk – a distance not frequently contested.
The CMA is considering adding the distance to the Record Books – so many of the age group marks at the race may become CAN Records.
