Canadian Masters Athlete of the Month – August

We have a tie this month – with two outstanding performances at the World Masters Championships in Lyon

Marie-Josee Le Jour ON broke the World Record in the Throws Pentathlon. She also won Gold in the Discus, and Bronze in the Hammer and Weight Throw

Johanna Flipsen AB broke three CAN records in the 5000m Racewalk (Silver). 10,000mRW (Silver) and 20,000mRW (Gold) – and with the team awards, won five medals
