Canadian Masters Athlete of the Month – November

AOTM honours for November go to the highest scoring provincial branch at the Canadian Masters Cross Country Championships – Team Ontario.  “Highest scoring” is determined by age-graded percentages, a metric commonly used in masters athletics to compare performances from athletes of different ages or genders.  The race was held in challenging conditions at Wesley Clover Parks in Ottawa on November 27.

The four highest age-graded performances made up the team from each province, in Ontario’s case (L-R): M55 Geoff Peat 32:18 (77.24%), W55 Liz Maguire 37:10 (77.31%), M55 Dan Fiorini 31:49 (78.42%), and M50 Derek Hackshaw 30:47 (77.75%).
