Canadian Masters Athlete of the Month honours go to Elizabeth Waywell ON for October.
Elizabeth ran the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon in an amazing time of 3:07:56. This is the fastest marathon time in the world this year by a woman in the 60-64 year old category. It also betters the W60-64 Canadian road best which has stood since 1998.
The race doubled as the World Masters Athletics Marathon Championships and Elizabeth won her age group so is now the reigning world champion.
