Mike Sherar (2:03.61) nicked Anselm Lebourne USA to take the Bronze at the M50 Masters race at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing on Saturday. This is the first time a masters event had been included in the IAAF Championships. There was also a W50 400m. The fastest 10 people in the world were chosen for the event. Canada had two entries – with CMA President Paul Osland included in the stellar field
David Heath GBR (insert) won the race in 2:00.92 – repeating his performance in Lyon.
Paul Osland, nursing an injury, was 4th with 300 to go, but finished 10th.
