New Brunswick Announces a New Provincial Masters Director

Andy Justason

Andy Justason, from Fredericton, has been appointed as the New Brunswick representative on the Canadian Masters Athletics Board of Directors

Andy began Masters athletics in 2011 as part of an effort to start a track team at his daughters’ primary school.  He took Run/Jump/Throw training from Athletics New Brunswick (ANB) but stopped coaching in 2013 when his daughters chose dance over track.  Since he’s not much of a dancer, he continued to run, jump and throw with the Fredericton Legion Track Club (FLTC).

He serves on the FLTC and ANB boards of directors.  Andy has always been interested in the decathlon and realized a childhood dream by completing his first decathlon in 2012.  He has since become a regular at the Canadian Masters Athletics Championships, competing in the pentathlon.  He holds several ANB age-group records in the combined events, sprints and jumps.
