Nova Scotia Names New CMA Provincial Director

Anitra Stevens has been named the Nova Scotia Provincial Director on the Canadian Masters Board of Directors.

As the CMA President, I’d like to welcome Anitra to the Canadian Masters Executive. We look forward to working together to expand the scope of Masters activities in Nova Scotia.

Anitra has over 16 years’ experience in sport and recreation management in various senior roles. Although new to the world of athletics, her qualifications include:

* A Bachelor of Recreation Management Degree from Acadia University, Wolfville, NS

* Executive Director of Athletics Nova Scotia, since March, 2013

* Interest and involvement in Soccer, Track, Tennis, Swimming, Golf, Snowboarding and Skating

* Over 10 years’ experience working within community development and project management (including serving on the leadership team of the Halifax 2011 Canada Games)

* Over 8 years’ experience in human resources (including hiring, performance management and team development)

* Over 4 years’ experience in financial management accountability, including budget development and budget management

During her free time, Anitra enjoys travelling, photography, snowboarding, golfing, hiking and camping. Anitra resides in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia with her husband Jeff and 19 month old daughter Jorja.
