Canadian Masters Athletics announced its 50-member team which will compete in the World Masters Athletics (WMA) Indoor Championships, being held in Budapest, Hungary, from March 25 to March 30, 2014. These biennial Championships consist of a full program of Indoor Track and Field events, including a Pentathlon, plus non-stadia events which include an 8K Cross Country, a Half Marathon and a 10K Road Race Walk.
Consisting of 19 women and 31 men, the team hails from across the country, and covers almost all age groups from 35 to 95, with a concentration in the 40, 45 and 60-year age groups. There is a sprinkling of new competitors to the international scene, together with experienced Canadian athletes, many of whom are past Canadian and World champions and record-holders.
